My first love was Yoga
My ever evolving practice is a story best told when I am asked about it, its long! Yoga and movement is the foundation on which I stand. My first love was Yoga, I started in 2009 and then having completed a 200hr YTT and a 100hr Adjusters Training training in 2012, I’ve never been without it.
Since then I have added an array of trainings through both formal study and practice including Prenatal, Postnatal, Doula training, Meditation Teacher Training, Movement Therapy, Critical Alignment Therapy, Personal Training and Yoga Nidra Training.
Alongside all of this inquiry into Yoga I was also rock climbing, practiced aerial hoop, strength trained, kick boxed and for the last few years have been completely devoted to jiujitsu.
I had to look at all of
the ways we guide in Yoga
I don’t like to fit into a box, I don’t like to be one sided so I had to look at all of the ways we guide in Yoga.
I don’t like to stand in unfounded certainty on anything and so I have devoted myself to trying it all on, to see what works for me to be able to teach from this intention.
I believe deeply in the power and importance of discipline, respect and curiosity. Without these as my fundamental principles, I am doing myself a great disservice. With these at the forefront, I am capable of profound growth and nourish my potential…which never stops being hard work worth doing.

Yoga and Jiujitsu are
the most important practices in my life
Yoga and Jiujitsu are the most important practices in my life and they help me to grow in ways I never imagined possible for myself.
For me these practices are a part of my mental, emotional, physical, social and spiritual health.
The quality of my life has changed dramatically because of my choice to immerse myself in the discipline, respect and inevitable discomfort we experience in these philosophies.
If I can stand on my head, hold long posture and maintain a rhythmic breath or use my whole body to skillfully combat another, somehow the rest of my life seems to be a little more manageable, I know not everything is within my control, but I have incredible tools to manage what I can…my relationship to myself above all else.
I’ve grown into the deep loving reverence for my own
I know what it feels like to not feel ‘good’. I have had my fair share of struggles that arose both internal and external that left their scars. I don’t forget the feeling of my own body being a place I didn’t feel comfortable in and I have done the uphill battle to the inverse, loving myself and this body I get to call home. We get one of these human bodies, one.
I’ve grown into the deep loving reverence for my own, and will forever subject myself to the best that I can do for it…because it is mine and my responsibility alone.Â
