What I offer
Mobility
Every body, though they are comprised of the same materials and general framework of skeletal structure and soft tissue, is subject to completely different experiences.
Bodies are form and function and so what works for one body (ex. heavy dead lifting or yin style yoga practice) might not be what you are interested in, what your body is prepared for and you require some preparation to get to whatever your potential physical goals might be.
The practice is to learn about the mobility you have, and implement movements to support and further the ranges of motion available to you so you can explore all of the options for physicality with more understanding of how your body works and what you love to do with it!
Mobility is an overall determining factor in the spectrum of human health, if you don’t use it, you lose it.
Why Mobility Training is Good for YOu
Mobility training, also known as flexibility or range-of-motion training, is beneficial for several reasons:
Injury Prevention: Improved mobility reduces the risk of strains and sprains by maintaining proper joint alignment.
Enhanced Performance: Better mobility leads to more efficient movement, agility, and coordination, boosting athletic prowess.
Improved Posture: Correcting muscle imbalances through mobility training reduces the risk of chronic pain and musculoskeletal disorders.
Functional Movement: Mobility exercises mimic everyday activities, enhancing comfort and efficiency in daily tasks.
Joint Health: Regular mobility training maintains joint lubrication, reducing the likelihood of degenerative conditions like osteoarthritis.
Pain Reduction: Mobility exercises alleviate chronic pain by releasing muscle tension and improving joint mobility.
Stress Reduction: Incorporating relaxation techniques, mobility training promotes stress relief and overall well-being.
Range of Motion: Consistent mobility exercises gradually increase flexibility, allowing for freer and more comfortable movement in various activities.
Overall, mobility training is beneficial for individuals of all ages and fitness levels, as it promotes better movement mechanics, reduces the risk of injury, and contributes to overall physical health and well-being.
